Welcome Aboard!
1. The adventure begins here.
This fall, Arc Manor Publishing will release the new science-fiction adventure novel Minute-Men: Execute and Run.
Based on a concept developed by Christopher Connolly and written by Lawrence C. Connolly (the guy who also writes this newsletter), MM: E&R centers on a band of wounded warriors, each imbued with an incredible power.
But there’s a catch.
The power burns out quickly and is followed by helpless incapacitation. Thus, the Minute-Men agents must set aside their differences and support one another. When one falls, another must step up.
Teamwork is key.
Going it alone is their kryptonite.
A Look Behind the Scenes
While developing the concept, Chris created an extensive collection of storyboards and character profiles, while I worked on multiple drafts of the book and screenplay. The result is a wealth of supplemental material that we’re looking forward to sharing with you in future installments of this newsletter.
In addition, we’ll be featuring updates on the new Minute-Men: Execute & Run film being developed in collaboration with Academy-Award-winning producer Jonathan Sanger.
Along the way, we’ll also be providing subscribers with early access to promotional videos, audio presentations, novel excerpts, merch, and more—all of it coming to your e-box one biweekly newsletter at a time (or every week if you opt for one of our paid subscription offers).
Finally, we’ll be giving subscribers chances to win books and merch by taking part in challenges like this one:
Challenge #1: Forgotten Superheroes
Everyone knows about Superman, Wonder Woman, Spider-Man, Batgirl and Batman.
But for every superhero who has withstood the test of time, there are legions who have fallen into obscurity.
Consider the six pictured below:
Yep. They’re for real, and each debuted around the time their better-known colleagues were becoming pop icons.
Recognize any of them?
If you do, let us know by posting a comment on our challenge page.
On the other hand, if you're stumped, feel free to do some digital sleuthing. And if your search proves fruitful, post a comment telling us what you learned and where you found the information.
Finally, as an alternate challenge, make up a name and origin story for one of the above characters. It’ll be fun to see if what you come up with is more entertaining than the actual identities and backstories. Again, you can reach us via the challenge page.
Of course, you are also welcome to post your responses directly to this newsletter by using the button below.
Either way, it’ll be great hearing from you. Like the members of the Minute-Men team, we can’t do this alone.
Prizes
The first three subscribers who respond either on the challenge page or via the comment button will receive a poster from the Minute-Men collection.
Each 24x36 poster features Chris’s full-color rendering of a character from Minute-Men: Execute & Run.
So, leave a comment …
… spread the word …
… consider opting in to receive extra content by becoming a paid subscriber…
… then stand by for the first full-length installment of the Minute-Men: Execute & Run newsletter. We’ll meet you there!

Love the character illustrations! Very much looking forward to the novel.
